Tieto puts Tieto UK Financial Services up for sale

After weeks of speculation following the departure of Nigel Kohler the plans to sell the UK Financial Services have materialised through a private divestment company. The current re-structuring programme is part of an overall plan to ensure that the business will be viable for a new buyer.
Key customers including Barclays, RBS and Bank of America are anxiously awaiting for a key player in the financial services sector to buy the business unit for less than the £55 million TietoEnator paid for it back in 2005.
